Runsale
Runsale is a whitelabel e-commerce product offered by Modis. It’s goal is to create an engaging method of selling products to a live audience.

Context + Client
We’ve been working with Hugo Boss to create a live shopping experience for luxury fashion. However, Runsale can be adapted for many different products, from clothing and jewellery to intangibles like live recruiting for job postings. There are 3 main user groups:
Customer: The people shopping are the customer. They can join rooms, watch the event, ask questions, and make purchases.
Presenter: The presenter is the one on camera hosting the session. They can be in-house or hired for their sales ability or influence.
Manager: The manager is the one who sets up the room, determines what will be presented, recruits a presenter and analyses the results of the event.
Business Value
Live commerce has shown huge potential for creating value through accelerating conversions and improving brand appeal. It offers retailers, brands, and digital platforms a new channel to reach audiences.
Design Priorities
The design priorities for this project are:
to create an intuitive, engaging, and memorable experience for live commerce customers
to provide an easy way for presenters to deliver professional live presentations from their mobile phone
to build a platform where managers can quickly set up and launch live events
Process
Our team works in line with Agile principles in 2 week sprints. I use Design Thinking to devise design solutions to the project requirements. The product is constantly being improved with insights from usability testing and the team.
