DRC
The DRC (Digital Reference Catalogue) is an internal tool used to approve, manage, and present reference projects to prospective clients.
My role: Lead UX Design
Tools: Figma
Timeline: Early 2021 - Late 2021
Status: Launched internally
Context + Client
The DRC is being built so Modis has access to an internal catalogue of completed client projects. The projects are presentation-ready and easily accessible for the sales team to present to prospective clients at any given time and in multiple formats. There are 3 main user groups:
Reference Owners & Sales Team: These are the individuals that submit projects to the DRC so that they can be prepared, formatted, and added to the catalogue. They may also use the catalogue when speaking with clients. They require intuitive interfaces and polished visuals.
The Content Management Team: This is the team that receives, manages, and approves project references. They also edit, source missing content, and oversee translation. They are comfortable with more complicated and technical processes, but still need a simple way to move projects through the approval process.
External Users: This is anyone who is accessing the DRC externally. In most cases this would be clients. They need clear content, polished visuals, and intuitive navigation.
Business Value
The goal of this project is to increase the lead conversion rate for Modis.
Design Priorities
The design priorities for this project are:
to create professional, functional, and beautiful layouts for project references on desktop, mobile, and print
to create an easy experience for reference owners to submit projects
to create a straightforward and flexible management process for the Content Management Team
to be able to easily access and withhold varying levels of confidential information
Process
Our team works in line with Agile principles in 2 week sprints. I use Design Thinking to devise design solutions to the project requirements.
Current Status
